At ServiceNow, I led the design of a versioning system for Decision Tables, giving users the ability to create and manage multiple table states over time. Before this work, Decision Tables were static—any change required overwriting the live logic, increasing the risk of errors and making iteration difficult.

I worked with engineering and product management to define the versioning model: users could now create drafts, review them, and publish when ready. Each state had system-level implications for visibility and editability, so I focused on making those states obvious and reducing ambiguity during collaboration or handoff.

The system introduced two key states—draft and published—and defined clear rules for how tables transition between them. I also designed fail-safes to prevent accidental edits to published logic and surfaced version metadata throughout the UI to help teams navigate which version was active, in progress, or used in production flows. This work shipped as part of a larger effort to mature the Decision Builder product line.
