At ServiceNow, I led the design of a new authoring flow that allowed users to create Decision Tables without leaving Flow Designer. Prior to this, users had to break their workflow and jump into a separate tool to define logic—often leading to delays, handoff issues, or lost context.
I designed a lightweight modal-based system that let users define the structure of a Decision Table—inputs, outputs, and metadata—inline with their flow. The goal was to reduce friction and make logic creation faster without requiring major platform changes. The feature respected system constraints while improving momentum for users building complex automation.
This work shipped as part of a multi-release enhancement cycle and became the basis for similar inline authoring patterns across other platform tools.
